GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. general
The scope of the business relationship between the customer and the hairdressing salon About Hair, Pascal Schymick is governed exclusively by the following General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all activities in the salon, such as services and the sale of products, as well as contracts and offers that are concluded between About Hair hair salon and the customer. Exceptions that are not covered by the General Terms and Conditions require an agreement in writing. Deviating, conflicting or supplementary terms and conditions shall not become part of the contract unless their validity is expressly agreed to in writing.
2. SERVICES
Salon About Hair provides its services to the best of its knowledge and belief. We use industry products that meet the latest quality standards. Salon About Hair shall inform the client of any changes before the start of the service to be performed.
3. DATES
Salon About Hair works mainly by appointment. Customers are offered appointments after specifying the services they require. Once the appointment has been accepted by the customer, it is then firmly reserved with the date, time and desired services.
This can be done in person, by telephone (+49 211 / 36 77 75 30 or +49 211 / 33 67 332) or via a corresponding booking tool on the homepage www.abouthair.de. As soon as the appointment is booked, a service contract is created between the customer and Salon About Hair.
For certain appointments (e.g. wedding / hair thickening / hair extensions) the customer is required to pay in advance. This will be communicated to the customer when the appointment is made. These appointments are only optional until payment is received and can be canceled by Salon About Hair until full payment is received.
Appointments that have not yet been paid for can be postponed by either party with 24 hours’ notice. This must be done by telephone or in writing.
If the agreed services cannot be carried out due to a lack of time through the fault of the customer (e.g. absence or late arrival), Salon About Hair is entitled to withdraw from the contract and charge a cancellation fee of 80% of the planned services. For hair extension services for which the salon had to purchase the customized goods and which were prepaid or paid for in advance, the appointment cancellation fee is 100%.
4. PRICES & PAYMENT
The prices for services include the respective statutory VAT. Prices from SALON About Hair can be viewed publicly at any time in the salon or at www.abouthair.de. For services that are not described in the price list, Salon About Hair will be happy to provide information about the planned price in advance.
The prices quoted are minimum prices and may increase due to additional work (e.g. long or particularly thick hair, etc.) or the spontaneous addition of further services. Unless paid in advance, the invoice amounts are due immediately after performance of the service and are to be paid exclusively in cash, by EC cash, credit card or with a voucher.
5. COUPONS
Paid vouchers / purchase vouchers:
Customers can purchase vouchers at Salon About Hair. Paid vouchers can be redeemed like cash to pay for all services and items at Salon About Hair.
Promotional vouchers and discounts:
The About Hair salon sometimes offers promotional vouchers and discounts. These benefits may be linked to certain conditions or deadlines. The acceptance of these advertising and promotional vouchers or the granting of discounts to the customer is at the discretion of Salon About Hair.
6. UNDERAGE CUSTOMERS
Under the age of 16, Salon About Hair can only provide services involving color or bleaching with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
7. WARRANTY
If a defect becomes apparent, the customer must notify Salon About Hair immediately. A complaint shall only be deemed to have been made immediately if it is made within 5 days of the service or purchase at the latest.
Salon About Hair shall then be entitled to rectification.
It is up to Salon About Hair to decide whether to make improvements or reimburse all or part of the costs.
If Salon About Hair offers to rectify a defect after a complaint has been made and the customer rejects this, the customer waives any further claims for defects and reimbursement upon rejection. If the customer does not respond to a rectification offer within 48 hours, this shall be deemed a rejection of the rectification.
No claims for defects shall exist in the event of only insignificant deviation from the agreed service or quality, or in the event of only insignificant impairment of usability. This also applies to natural wear and tear as well as to damage caused by incorrect or negligent handling, excessive use, unsuitable hair and skin care products by the customer or due to special influences.
If customers or third parties carry out rectification work or modifications, there shall also be no claims for defects for these and the resulting consequences.
8TH WARRANTY
The customer receives a guarantee period of 5 days on the service provided.
This guarantee does not apply if the customer does not use the products used and recommended in the salon. The use of products from well-known drugstore chains can have an adverse effect on the hair if they contain silicones, which can strip the hair of its color.
9. PERSONAL DATA AND PRIVACY
The customer agrees to provide Salon About Hair with all personal data and information relevant to the professional performance of the service.
This data is stored in electronic form in the customer file. Salon About Hair undertakes to use this data only for the purpose of the service to be provided, taking into account the data protection clause, and not to pass the data on to third parties or external persons without the written consent of the customer. Compliance with the data protection regulation is assured.
10. LIABILITY
Salon About Hair accepts no liability for clients’ wardrobe, bags, luggage and valuables. Jewelry must be removed before treatment begins.
Salon About Hair accepts no liability for the customer’s clothing if it is damaged through the customer’s fault; the same applies to any intolerances and allergies, whether known or unknown.
Liability is excluded for chemical, thermal, hair and skin cosmetic treatments expressly requested by the customer, as well as for all special hairdressing measures.
In the event of circumstances for which Salon About Hair is not responsible, e.g. illness or force majeure, such as power failure and the like, which partially or completely prevent the fulfillment of a customer order, no liability claim can be derived. Salon About Hair also accepts no liability for postponements or delays in appointments for which Salon About Hair is not responsible. If Salon About Hair has to postpone an appointment, the customer will be informed as soon as possible. The customer then has the option of agreeing a new appointment with Salon About Hair or canceling the appointment free of charge. If the customer has already paid for the appointment or has paid in full, all monies for unused services will be refunded to the customer.
Salon About Hair tries to schedule appointments in such a way that the appointment can be started on time. Due to unforeseeable events, the customer may have to wait.
A claim for damages cannot be derived from this
11. DAMAGE AND THEFT
Salon About Hair has the right to claim compensation for any damage caused by the client. Shoplifting will be reported immediately.
12TH PICTURES
If Salon About Hair publishes picture examples in the salon or on the homepage, these are only examples. Even if the hairstyle or color is reworked on the customer, there may be deviations in the design, shape and effect of the design on the customer. The result may differ from the image shown. The copyright for the design remains with Salon About Hair. Should the customer take photographs of the design created which are used for commercial purposes (Internet, publications, etc.), this requires a written declaration of consent from Salon About Hair. In the event of failure to do so, Salon About Hair may assert reasonable claims.
13. BEHAVIOR
The customer undertakes to behave appropriately during the visit to the salon. If the customer continues to behave inappropriately even after a warning, Salon About Hair has the right to expel the customer from the salon and, if necessary, to issue a house ban.
14. FINAL CLAUSE
Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid in whole or in part, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by one that is lawful and comes closest to the meaning of the invalid provision.
